Water Lilies

The pond-world: 250 canvases to lose sight of the edge. No bank, no horizon: only water, reflections and flowers (1914–1917, 130 × 153 cm, Marmottan, Rouart bequest 1993). The motif cultivated since 1893 at Giverny: the final cycle, duration in its pure state.
